About the Dzi Bead

Dzi (pronounced "zee") is a Tibetan word meaning "shine, brightness, splendour." These are Chung Dzi–style beads — dark agate etched with fine white symbols baked directly into the stone, not painted on. Because each bead is individually etched, no two necklaces are ever exactly alike, giving this piece a genuinely one-of-a-kind natural centrepiece.
