🌌 What Muonionalusta Is
Muonionalusta is a fine octahedrite iron meteorite belonging to the IVA group, composed primarily of iron and nickel with trace elements such as gallium, germanium, and iridium. It formed in the core or mantle of an early planetary body that later shattered. Scientists estimate its age at 4.5653 billion years, making it one of the oldest solid materials known.
📍 Where It Was Found
The first fragment was discovered in 1906 near Kitkiöjärvi, in the Muonionalusta region of northern Sweden, close to the Finnish border. Over 40 pieces have since been recovered across a 25 × 15 km strewn field in Norrbotten County.
❄️ Geological History
After landing roughly one million years ago, the meteorite endured four ice ages, becoming embedded in glacial moraine. Its long exposure created a weathered exterior, but its interior preserves pristine cosmic metal structures.
Designed for the man who values authenticity, craftsmanship, and timeless style, this pendant captures the essence of cosmic energy and modern luxury.
